BERGEN COUNTY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Avon Morgan, a Bergen County assistant prosecutor, has been identified as the victim in a Friday fatal motorcycle crash in Bergen County, New Jersey.
Morgan, 38, of Ridgewood, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash in Hackensack Friday afternoon.
According to reports, Morgan was operating a motorcycle on Essex Street near East Railroad Avenue in Hackensack, when the bike came into contact with an SUV around 4 p.m. Friday.
Morgan was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The SUV driver was transported to an area hospital complaining of neck pain.
No one was cited at the scene.
Morgan worked in the General Litigation Department, with a concentration in matrimonial litigation and municipal court litigation. He was previously was an administrative specialist with the Superior Court and got his J.D. degree from New York Law School.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
