ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Janeth Gomez, of South Bend, Indiana, have been identified as the victim in a Tuesday night fatal multi-vehicle crash in St. Joseph County.

Gomez, 58, was killed in a three-vehicle crash in South Bend Tuesday night.

According to reports, Gomez was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle on South Taylor Street near West Ewing Avenue in South Bend, when another vehicle came into contact. The force of the crash cause a third vehicle to be involved around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The driver of vehicle Gomez and two teenage passengers suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

The driver of the third involve vehicle suffered a severe eye injury.

The driver of the first vehicle complained of pain.

All survivors were transported to area hospitals.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
