FAIRFIELD COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Monica Wilson, of Westport, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night double-fatal wrong-way vehicle crash in Fairfield County.
Wilson, 41, and another individual, were both killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Bridgeport Sunday night. The crash also involved two small children traveling in Wilson’s vehicle.

According to reports, Wilson was operating a vehicle on Route 8 near Exit 3 in Bridgeport, when the vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle driving in the wrong direction.
Courant reports, after the initial crash, a chain reaction collision occurred between the car travelling the wrong way and two other southbound vehicles, state police said. A passenger in one of the other southbound vehicles, Ananias Castillo-Icabalzeta, 46, of Bridgeport, was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.
Two children in the car Wilson was driving also were injured, as were the drivers of the three other cars involved in the collisions, state police said. The injuries sustained by the wrong-way driver are life-threatening and he was in critical condition, state police said.
