JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Jacob Oliver Green, of Riverside, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal vehicle crash in Jefferson County.
‘Jake’ Green, 28, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near City Walk Skatepark in Birmingham Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Green was operating a vehicle on Interstate 59/20 near Mile Marker 122, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle then rolled over multiple times.
Green, who was ejected from the vehicle during the wreck, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
