YELLOWSTONE COUNTY, MT. (THECOUNT) — Aaron Lurz, of Billings, Montana, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday night fatal vehicle-versus-motorcycle crash in Yellowstone County. Kevin Welter, also of Billings, is the suspected impaired driver of the involved vehicle.

Welter, 40, was charged a man with vehicular homicide while under the influence in the deadly crash that killed 34-year-old Lutz near the Yellowstone Golf Course.

According to reports, Welter was operating a vehicle on 67th Street West near Masters Boulevard in Billings, when the vehicle came into contact with a motorcycle operated by Lutz around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Lutz, a decorated Marine, husband and father of five young children, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

Welter, a local Billings business owner, was charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence, a felony.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
