GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Joseph Casciano, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, has been identified as the man arrested after he chased down another man who was traveling on his stolen motorcycle in Greenville, South Carolina in mid-May.
Casciano, 43, was operating a Ford Mustang, when he used a LoJack GPS system to locate his stolen motorcycle on May 16th in Greenville.
Casciano caught up with his pilfered bike on Ashmore Bridge Rd., in Greenville, SC, which was being operated by 22-year-old Gunner Cole Adair of Greenville. During the chase, speeds reached up to 127 MPH.
At some point, the motorcycle crashed. Casciano then fled the scene.
Adair was killed in the crash.
Casciano turned himself in July 20th nearly two months later. He is currently in the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Investigators later concluded that Casciano’s reckless operation of his vehicle resulted in Adair’s death.
