CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Tessa Marguerite Bowers, of Canton, Georgia, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday vehicle crash in Cherokee County.
Bowers, 57, was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Holly Springs Thursday.
According to reports, Bowers, a former police officer for Cartersville Police Department, was operating a vehicle on Interstate 575 near Sixes Road, when the vehicle was involved in a multi-vehicle crash.
Bowers was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Other details of the crash were not provided.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
