LYON COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Ian Ellender of Hartford, Kansas, and Chelsea Moore of Hunt, Texas, have been identified as the victims in a Monday fatal UTV crash in Lyon County.
Ellender, was seriously hurt, and Moore was killed, in a Monday morning Polaris RZR crash in Hartford.
According to reports, the pair were traveling in the red Polaris RZR on the 400 block of rural Road V, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle rolled over into a ditch around 6 a.m. Monday. Both riders were ejected.
Ellender was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
