SCIOTO COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Rodney Jenkins, of Portsmouth, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday afternoon fatal motorcycle crash in Scioto County.
Jenkens, 33, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash near in Porter Township around noon Sunday.
According to reports, Jenkins was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on River Road near Hayport Road in Wheelersburg, when the bike came into contact with a Lexus, operated by an 81-year-old woman around 12:50 p.m. Sunday.
Jenkins was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the Lexus suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
