OUACHITA PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — George Barmore, 68, Emory Barmore and Layla-Grace Barmore, both 12, were identified as the three West Monroe residents killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Ouachita Parish.

Joshua Kelley, 35, of West Monroe, was named as the other involved driver.

According to reports, George Barmore was operating a Mitsubishi Endeavor on LA Hwy 34 near LA Hwy 840-1 in West Monroe, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 11:40 p.m. Friday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Ford F-250 pickup truck operated by Kelley.

All three family members were pronounced dead of injuries suffered in the wreck.

Kelley and his juvenile passenger, who fled the scene following the collision, suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Kelley was later located and returned to the scene of the crash where he was arrested for suspected impaired driving.

Impairment is unknown in regards to Barmore.

Kelley was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center and charged with felony hit and run and three counts of vehicular homicide.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
