BOWIE COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Micah Franco has been identified as one of two teens found unresponsive in a Bowie County, Texas home on Tuesday night.

Franco, 14, was found unresponsive along with a 16-year-old female at a Texarkana area home Tuesday night.

According to reports, Bow County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call at a residence on Twilight Cir., around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, police found the female unresponsive on the front porch of the home. CPR was initiated. After entering the home, Franco was also found unresponsive and lifesaving actions were performed.

The female was first transported to an area hospital before being transferred to a facility in Little Rock, Arkansas. The condition of the female was not provided.

Franco was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been ordered.

Officials with the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office say they discovered the home was without power and was being heated by a gasoline-powered generator.

Officials say they do not suspect foul play, but believe carbon monoxide poisoning is to blame.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
