Madam To The Stars Jody ‘Babydol’ Gibson Dies At 64 Husband Says Death ‘Mystery’

YUCCA VALLEY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Jody “Babydol” Gibson, infamously known as “Sasha of the Valley,” has died sources confirm. She was 64.

Eric Markel, 61, Gibson’s husband of over a decade, confirmed her death, adding her passing is a bit of a mystery.

Markel went on to explain that his wife was not battling any known illness at the time of her death, which was ruled by officials as natural causes.

Markel then said Gibson had suffered dramatic weight loss and weighed only 87 pounds when she was found unresponsive, apparently dying in her sleep, according to reports.

According to officials, 911 dispatchers received a call from a family member of Gibson asking officers to perform a welfare check. Officers arrived at Gibson’s Yucca Valley home around 11 a.m. Sunday, where she was pronounced dead at the scene.

No foul play is suspected.

The couple was in the midst of a bitter lawsuit regarding the sale of their home. Markel told TMZ that he thinks his wife died of “exhaustion” from the turmoil.

Gibson, a Los Angeles madam to the rich and famous, operated a massive network of call girls in the Hollywood area throughout the ’80s and ’90s.

Gibson did prison time in the early 2000s after being convicted of felony pimping in L.A. She ended up doing 2 years of a 3-year sentence. At the time, Gibson denied all the charges but later admitted her involvement in a number of interviews. She would later go on to use the email “TheSuperMadam@aol.com.”

Her trial had Hollywood buzzing because her black book allegedly listed several big-name celebs — from sports, politics and entertainment — as clients, reports TMZ on Monday.
