MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Tabitha Mary Collard, of Pana, Illinois, has been identified as the victim fatally shot Monday at a Montgomery County, Tennessee, residence.
Collard, 26, was shot and killed at a home in a suspected murder-attempted suicide in Clarksville on Monday evening.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 400 block of Ringgold Road in Clarksville around 5 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, a man and a woman were discovered suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Collard, who was a currently an Army soldier stationed at Fort Campbell, was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
The unidentified male victim, who is believed to have shot Collard before turning the gun on himself, was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The cause of the shooting remains under investigation.
