PHOENIX, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Fox News said they are standing behind popular host, Jesse Watters, following a controversial speech he delivered during a recent appearance at AmericaFest 2021.
The event, produced by Turning Point USA, is being held at the Phoenix Convention Center is an events venue in Phoenix, Arizona. It opened in 1972 and hosts national and regional conventions and trade shows as well as consumer events and theatrical productions.
According to a Fox News rep:
“Based on watching the full clip and reading the entire transcript, it’s more than clear that Jesse Watters was using a metaphor for asking hard-hitting questions to Dr. Fauci about gain-of-function research and his words have been twisted completely out of context,” a Fox representative said, according to CNN.
