GERMANY. (THECOUNT) — Germany has announced that it would be implementing a nationwide lockdown for unvaccinated individuals on Thursday.
Citizens who are not adequately vaccinated for COVID-19 will be unable to access all services but those that are deemed essential, such as grocery or pharmacy services.
The announcement was made on Thursday by Chancellor Angela Merkel and Olaf Scholz following meetings with national leaders.
Germany is among several countries, including neighbouring Austria, that is considering mandatory vaccinations for its citizens, reports thepostmillennial.
