MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Ronald Lee Hayes, of Plano, Texas, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Wednesday fatal vehicle strike in McLennan County.
Hayes, 61, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Waco Wednesday.
According to reports, Hayes was on-foot in the area of the 200 block of West Highway 6 in Waco, when he was struck by a passing Chevrolet Tahoe.
Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the Tahoe remained on-scene and fully cooperated with arriving officials.
No charges have been filed and no one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
