TULSA COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Clifton B. Smith, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday night vehicle crash in Tulsa County.
Smith, 23, was killed in a two-vehicle wrong-way vehicle crash near Skiatook Thursday night.
According to reports, Smith was operating a vehicle on SH11 near 170th Street North, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes Thursday night. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a vehicle operated by Jacob Gilmartin, 28, of Skiatook.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Gilmartin suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
