NEW HAVEN COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Stephanie Marie Napolitano, of Meriden, Connecticut, and Prabhudas Patel, of Wallingford, Connecticut, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal vehicle crash Tuesday in New Haven County.
Napolitano, 46, and 83-year-old Patel, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Wallingford Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, Patel was operating a Subaru Forester Wagon on CT-68 near North Farms Road in Wallingford, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing traffic around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Hyundai Tucson SUV, operated by Napolitano.
Both drivers were transported to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
