MCLEAN COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Gavin Lartz, of Normal, Illinois, has been identified as the teen driver killed in a Friday afternoon vehicle crash involving a school bus in McLean County.
Lartz, 19, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Normal Township Friday afternoon.
According to reports, Lartz was operating a vehicle on North Main Street near West Summit Street in Normal, when the vehicle came into contact with a school bus around noon.
Lartz was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The bus driver was not injured in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
