JONES COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Cade Thompson, of Soso, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday vehicle crash involving a school bus in Jones County.
Thompson, 18, died in a crash involving a school bus near Soso Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Thompson was operating a pickup truck on Highway 84 near Roy Jefcoat Road in Soso, when the vehicle came into rear-end contact with a West Jones High School bus Wednesday morning.
Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Nine student occupying the bus were not injured in the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
