LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Toby Pace, of Bloomington, Indiana, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Friday fatal vehicle strike in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.
Pace, 45, was killed after being struck by a semi-tractor near Raceland early Friday morning.
According to reports, Pace was on-foot in the area of U.S. 90 near LA-182 in Raceland, when he was struck by a passing Freightliner Cascadia big-rig around 3 a.m. Friday.
Pace was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma.
The involved truck driver was not injured.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
