HIDALGO COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Irma Samantha Rosales of Edinburg, Texas, has been identified as the pedestrian in a fatal Monday night vehicle strike in Hidalgo County.
Rosales, 26, was fatally struck by a vehicle in Edinburg Monday night.
According to reports, Rosales was on-foot in the area of 3500 N M Rd in Edinburg, when she was struck by a passing Ford Edge SUV around 9:30 p.m. Monday.
The driver of the Edge remained on scene and rendered aid.
Rosales was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
