PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Daniel Kearney, of West Milford, New Jersey, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Friday night vehicle crash in Passaic County.
Kearney, 19, was killed in a single-vehicle crash that injured two other teens in West Milford Saturday night.
According to reports, Alexander Vanker, 19, was operating a BMW on Lincoln Avenue in West Milford near Greenwood Lake, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and traveled up an embankment onto a private property around 9:30 Saturday.
BMW passenger, Kearney, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Another passenger, Kyle Guell, 19, also of West Milford, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
It is unknown if Vanker was seriously injured in the wreck.
No charges have been filed in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
