MONROE COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Jaden Lewis, of Rochester, New York, has been identified as the victim in a fatal incident in Monroe County Friday night.

Lewis, 20, was killed after he fell off the hood of a moving vehicle operated by 20-year-old Miana Blake, of Rochester, New York Friday night.

According to reports, Lewis was traveling on the hood of a vehicle on Remington Street near Avenue D in Rochester, when he fell off and was subsequently run over around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

First responders discovered Lewis laying in the street with an injury to his lower body.

Blake was charged with criminally negligent homicide, according to officials.

Investigators later learned that Lewis had “clung to the hood of a parked car,” but Blake, who was operating the car, began traveling on Remington. At some point, Lewis fell off and was then run over.

Blake remained on-scene and was taken into custody.
