MIDLAND COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Clyde Hinton, of Odessa, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday afternoon fatal two-vehicle crash in Midland County.
Hinton, 68, was killed and two others were injured, in a crash in Midland Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Hinton was operating a yellow 2006 Corvette in the 4500 block of Andrews Hwy in Midland, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 12 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Ford F-250 pickup truck.
Hinton was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the F-250 and a juvenile passenger were transported to at area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
