ALLEN PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Jamie Fontenot, of Scott, Louisiana, has been identified as the bicyclist in a fatal Thursday hit-and-run vehicle collision in Allen Parish.
Fontenot, 44, was killed after she was stuck by a vehicle near Kinder early Thursday morning.
According to reports, Fontenot was operating a bicycle on LA-383, when she was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene just after midnight Thursday.
Fontenot was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the fatal incident remains under investigation.
