ASCENSION PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Grant Griffin, of Prairieville, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal vehicle crash in Ascension Parish.
Griffin, 24, was killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash near Gonzales early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Griffin was operating a Dodge Ram pickup truck on Highway 431 near Highway 621, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around midnight Tuesday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and burst into flames.
Griffin was pronounced dead of thermal and blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
