HALL COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Connor William Wales, of Dahlonega, Georgia, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night single-vehicle crash that was not discovered until Sunday in Hall County.
Wales, 27, was killed, and a 22-year-old woman injured, in a single-vehicle crash near Gainesville Saturday.
According to reports, Wales was operating a Ford F-150 pickup truck on Old Cornelia Highway in Gainesville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The pickup then traveled down an embankment and rolled over before making contact with a substantial tree around midnight Saturday.
Police did not locate the crash scene until Sunday.
The female passenger, who suffered unknown injuries in the crash, told police she lost consciousness shortly after the crash and was not able to call for help.
Wales was pronounced dead at at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
