NEW CASTLE COUNTY, DE. (THECOUNT) — Matima Miller, a dancing TikTok star better known as Swavy, has been identified as the teen shot dead Monday in New Castle County, Delaware.
Miller, 19, was fatally shot in Wilmington Monday night.
According to reports, police respond to a call of shots fired in the 700 block of Elbert Place in Wilmington, Monday morning around 10:40 a.m. When they arrived, Miller was found suffering from gunshot injuries.
Miller was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Miller has over 2.3 million followers on TikTok, where his username was @babyface.s. — but fans knew him by his nickname, Swavy. The teen regularly posted comedy skits and accumulated 97.4 million likes on the platform as of Tuesday morning. He boasted another 365,000 followers on Instagram as @oneway.swavy, according to nypost.
Police did not provide a motive or suspect information as of Tuesday morning.
