NEWARK, DE. (THECOUNT) — Shaidiah Monique McNeair, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the suspect in the Monday shooting death of a 27-year-old woman outside the Christiana Mall in Delaware.
“Didaa” McNeair, 24, was taken into custody and charged with manslaughter in a fatal shooting Monday in Newark.
According to reports, police responded to the Christiana Mall on reports of a vehicle crash. When they arrived, the 27-year-old female victim was found slumped in the driver’s seat suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Investigators later determined that McNeair was a passenger in the vehicle when she shot the victim before exiting the crashed vehicle and fleeing the scene. Troopers searching the area later found evidence including a white plastic bag containing a handgun.
The victim has not yet been identified.
McNeair was later located and charged with manslaughter and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. She’s being held on $250,000 cash bail.
The deadly incident remains under investigation.
