KENTON COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Ashley Nicole Kilgore, of Covington, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim fatally shot Tuesday morning in Kenton County.
Kilgore, 26, was found shot dead in Covington early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 2400 block of White Court in the City Heights area in Covington. When they arrived, Kilgore was found laying on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds around 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Kilgore was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Investigators later located suspect and took that suspect into custody. The suspect, who was not identified by officials, is being held at the Covington Police Headquarters.
The investigation into the deadly incident remains ongoing.
