WAKE COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Tyrell Antar Cohen, the twin brother of Chicago Bears running back, Tarik Cohen, was found dead Sunday in Wake County, North Carolina, in an apparent electrocution.
Cohen, 25, who was reported missing, was later found dead near the Raleigh Duke Energy substation.
Deputies with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Duke Energy substation around 9 a.m. after an employee found Cohen’s body inside the perimeter of the facility.
Wake County say they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Cohen when he fled and thereafter then went missing.
Authorities believe Cohen may have been fatally electrocuted while attempting to climb equipment. Reports say, he was attempting to flee from law enforcement at the time he was killed.
According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, Cohen was reported missing with the Raleigh Police Department on Saturday night after not returning home.
“We believe at this point, it is connected to a missing person case being investigated by the Raleigh Police Department,” Sheriff Baker told press outlets.
Foul play is not suspected in the case.
