ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Eugene Scott, of South Bend, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night shooting in St. Joseph County.

Scott, 22, was shot and killed near South Bend Saturday night.


According to reports, Scott was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds near an idling snowmobile in the 1200 block of North Brookfield Street near Muessel Grove Park in South Bend, around 7 p.m.

Scott was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

No suspect or motive information was provided by officials.

The homicide remains under investigation.
