PULASKI COUNTY, AR. (THECOUNT) — John Harp, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night homicide in Pulaski County.

Detectives later arrested Ricky Allen Williams, 54, and his mother Willie Faye Thompson, 76, at a home in the Butlerville area. Williams is facing felony charges of capital murder and possession of a firearm by certain persons. Thompson is facing a felony charge for hindering apprehension or prosecution.

Both suspects are being held at the Lonoke County jail with no bond.

Harp, 60, was found suffering from lacerations in Little Rock in a homicide Wednesday night.

According to reports, Harp was found unresponsive with apparent lacerations on his body at 1423 S. Elm St. in Little Rock Wednesday around 9 p.m. Investigators later determined Harp was attacked in Lonoke County and transported to the Elm Street address possibly in a 2005 Lexus SE which was located at the scene.

Harp was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The investigation was turned over to the Lonoke County sheriff’s office.

No motive information was provided by officials.
