NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Shareka Wise and Ryheim Counts, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday morning double-fatal vehicle crash in Newberry County.
Counts, 29, and 21-year-old Wise, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash near Newberry early Saturday morning.

According to reports, a vehicle was traveling on Boyd Crossing Road in Newberry, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1 a.m. Saturday morning. The vehicle then came into contact with a substantial tree.
Both occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
