DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Ellen Abbott has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Monday night in Davidson County.
Abbott, 56, was killed after she was struck by a vehicle near Nashville Monday night.
According to reports, Abbott was on-foot with her husband in the area of Nolensville Pike and Lords Chapel Drive in Nashville, when she was struck by a vehicle, operated by 28-year-old Shannon Holt around 6:40 p.m. Monday.
Abbott was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Potential charges against Holt are pending the completion of the investigation and consultation with the District Attorney’s Office.
