LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Sean Standeford, of Oak Grove, Missouri, and Samantha Schell, of Holden, Missouri, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday night double-fatal crash in Lafayette County.
Standeford, 39 and Schell, 28, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash near Oak Grove Saturday night.
According to reports, Standeford was operating a Ford F-150 pickup truck on Route D near Route FF, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the rodway around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then collided with a chevron sign before going airborne and making contact with a tree.
Both Standeford and his passenger Schell, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
