COLUMBIANA COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Joshua and Jennifer Moreland, of Alliance, Ohio, have been identified as the victims of a fatal vehicle-versus-dwelling crash Sunday in Columbiana County.
Jenn Moreland, 41, died and Josh, also 41, was seriously injured after a vehicle plowed into their Beloit house Sunday morning.
According to reports, 20-year-old Joseph Matz, of Homeworth, Ohio, was operating a vehicle near Alliance, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and slammed into the Moreland’s home, located at 2452 Knox School Rd around 3 a.m. Sunday.
Jennifer was killed in the resulting crash.
Joshua was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Matz was not seriously injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
