WI Woman Alexa Simpson ID’d As Suspect In Sunday Beloit Fatal DUI Pedestrian Vehicle Strike

ROCK COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Alexa Rae Simpson, 27, of Beloit, Wisconsin, has been identified as the suspect accused in a Sunday night fatal DUI vehicle strike of a man changing a tire in Rock County.

Simpson, 27, was arrested after she was accused of striking a man with her vehicle as he was changing a tire near Beloit Sunday night.

Simpson was taken into custody on homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle charges.

The victim, a 24-year-old from the town of Beloit, was out of his vehicle changing a flat tire in the area of 4th Street and Maple Avenue in Beloit, when Simpson came into contact with another vehicle that then pinned the victim between the two vehicles around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Chad Raethz was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma.

The deadly incident remains under investigation.
