TOLLAND COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Dieter Zumpe of Ellington, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim killed in a Wednesday submersion crash in Tolland County.
Zumpe, 53, was killed in a vehicle crash in Coventry Lake Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, Zumpe was operating a vehicle when it crashed near the Coventry Lake boat launch and became submerged Wednesday afternoon.
Rescue workers recovered Zumpe’s body late Wednesday.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
