WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Devon Haywood, Brandon Sierra, Randy Sierra, Tamari Watkins, and Anthony Cruz, have been identified as the victims in a violent vehicle crash following a police pursuit Tuesday night in Westchester County, New York.
Haywood, 36, of Mount Vernon, was killed along with four teens, after his vehicle, which was being pursued by police, struck the teen’s vehicle on Tuesday night.
According to reports, Haywood’s Infiniti was being pursued by police, when the vehicle came into contact with a Nissan sedan occupied by Brandon and Randy Sierra, Watkins and Cruz, all 18 year olds from Yonkers, on Riverdale Avenue near Culver Street Tuesday around 9:30 p.m.
The force of the crash literally halved the Nissan.
All four teens in the Nissan were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Haywood was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
