DOUGLAS COUNTY, NE. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Joshua Seaman, of Omaha, Nebraska, has been identified as the driver injured in a deadly wrong-way vehicle crash in Douglas County, Monday morning.
Ray Sutton, 42, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, was killed in a wrong-way crash near Omaha early Monday morning.
According to reports, Seaman, 23, was operating a vehicle the wrong-way on Interstate 480 near Leavenworth Street in Omaha, when the vehicle came into head-on contact with a vehicle operated by Sutton around 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Sutton was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Seaman, originally of Greenwood, Indiana, was transported to an area hospital with unknown critical injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
