CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Sarah Lewis and Keith Lewis, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, have been identified as the victims in a Sunday night apparent murder-suicide in Cumberland County.
Sarah, 34, and 31-year-old Keith, both died in a murder-suicide near Fayetteville Sunday night.
According to reports, Keith Lewis shot Sarah Lewis dead and then turned the gun on himself at a residence in the 2000 block of Willow Street in Fayetteville on Sunday around 7:30 p.m.
Police say Sarah was pregnant at the time of the killing.
Keith Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
Sarah Lewis was transported to an area hospital where she and her unborn baby were pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
A child who was in the home at the time of the deadly incident was not injured and was placed with family members.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
