VIGO COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Tanner Carpenter, of Marshall, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday morning vehicle crash in Vigo County, Indiana.
Carpenter, 23, was killed in an vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor near West Terre Haute Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Carpenter was operating a red Ford Mustang on Interstate 70 near the Wabash River bridge, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle lost control Wednesday around 4 a.m. A big-rig, operated by Jose Hector Gurrola-Rodriguez, of Mexico, then came into contact with Carpenter’s disabled vehicle.
Carpenter was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
