HAMILTON COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Dave Hurst, a Vietnam veteran and a long-time volunteer for veterans’ causes, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday night crash in Hamilton County.
Hurst, who served in color guard leadership roles with the American Legion post in Mt. Washington for decades and volunteered with many vet activity programs for the VA Hospital, died in a crash near Cincinnati Thursday night.
According to reports, Hurst was killed in an I-275 crash near the Kellogg Ave exit for Coney Island Thursday night.
The cause of the deadly crash was not made available by officials as of Friday.
