GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Kim Michelle Shippy, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle Sunday in Greenville County.

Shippy, 57, was killed after she was struck by a vehicle near Greenville early Sunday morning.

According to reports, Shippy was on-foot in the area of S Pleasantburg Road in Greenville, when she was struck by a vehicle.

Shippy was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
