BOWIE COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Katelyn Vaughn, of Simms, Texas, Megan Daniel and Ashlin Cox, both of New Boston, Texas, have been identified as the victim in a Sunday triple-fatal vehicle crash in Bowie County.
Vaughn and Daniel, both 17, and 19-year-old Cox, were all killed in a vehicle crash near De Kalb early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Vaughn was operating a Chevrolet Malibu on CR-3302 near De Kalb, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle the became submerged in a creek.
Vaughn and her two passengers, Cox and Daniel, were all pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
