MADISON COUNTY, IL. (THCOUNT) — Skyler Henson, of Vandalia, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night motorcycle crash in Madison County.
Henson, 37, was killed in a motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck in Hamel Township Wednesday night.
According to reports, Henson was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on IL-140 near Legion Drive in Hamel, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The bike then came into contact with a Ford F150 pickup truck.
Henson, who was ejected from the Harley during the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The pickup driver was transported to an area hospital with unknown non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
