INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, AR. (THECOUNT) — Colten Ford Vickers, of Batesville, Arkansas, has been identified as the victim in an early Thursday morning vehicle crash in Independence County vehicle crash.
Vickers, 23, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Batesville Thursday morning.
According to reports, Vickers was operating a Chevy Tahoe on Highway 14, near Newport Road, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 12:40 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then came into contact with two substantial trees.
Vickers, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
