FORSYTH COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — James Darryl Fulton, of Walnut Cove, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Friday vehicle crash in Forsyth County.
Fulton, 60, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Rural Hall late Friday afternoon.
According to reports, Fulton was operating a passenger vehicle on NC-65 near Rural Hall, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 3:30 p.m. Friday. The vehicle then re-entered the roadway and came into contact with a van operated by 40-year-old Carrie Ann Simpkins, of Pine Hall.
Simpkins and four minor passengers were transported to an area hospital with unknown non-life threatening injuries.
Fulton was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
